Day 1 of Chemo...11 more to go

Today I started chemo. I have to go for 6 months(2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). Today was day 1 of 12, I went at 8:30am, it's now 11am, and so far I don't feel any ill effects from chemo(so far so good). I am starting to feel better each day(good days, bad days..). I'm now eating more, but not as much as I would like(trying to get back up to eating speed before Ashley's Grad BBQ..ha ha). Sorry I haven't posted to update people, but the first couple of weeks I did alot of napping after eating. I'm finally starting to walk more upright(not like a caveman..ha ha). We got the tumor boards back, and all the margins were negitive(which means the surgeon got all of the physical tumor out), it did involve 3 lymph nodes on a microscopic level( this is the reason for the chemo, so it doesn't pop up in another part of my body a year from now. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to some sort of normal life within the year, and I'll try to post more often.

Whats the word?
So, we went to Great Escape this weekend. It was pretty fun, the kids loved the rides but of course I forgot my camera. I have some passes to return for $15 if anyone wants them they expire June 30th.
I passed the first day of my med passing test in clinical. So if all goes well tomorrow I'll pass and be able to graduate. And if I don't, well then I don't know what will happen. But I'm confident about it anyway. :) So mark it on your calendar's, July 7th at 6:30 at Genet school in East Greenbush. And pool party on July 9th at my mom's! Woohoo. I think this will be the first thing I've sucessfully finished ever and I honestly can't believe I am. lol
So anyway, I added a few new pictures to my blog. Check it out.

I got the idea to look on the blog page today(Morphine makes you forget about wierd stuff, but only dulls the pain). I wanted thank everyone for your continued support through this ordeal. I spent 11 hours in surgery(the doctor was amazed, I didn't loose any blood). The PSP is really great to pass the days(can't read or draw on morphine(even scratch off's are a pain in the butt)). I'm trying to walk 4 times a day(sometimes I walk the path twice to make longer walks). I will try to update more often, thank you everyone. Jim
